With snow still on the track, we will not be able to sufficiently prepare the track for this weekend. As a result, we will be cancelling our Test N' Tune previously scheduled for April 27th. We're looking forward to opening night on May 3rd!

Rapid Speedway kicked of the 2013 season Friday night with some great racing! Feature winners were Travis VandenTop in the USRA Hobby Stocks, Brad Klaassen in the USRA Stock Cars, Colter Deutsch in the USRA B-Modifieds, Steve Schouwenburg in the HRA Sportsmans, & Bret Mellenberndt in the HRA Sprint Cars. This Friday, May 24th, we kick off the Memorial Day weekend with our weekly racing show, featuring all of our regular classes!

Currently the closest points battle is in our HRA Sportsmans class where Jesse Connel leads Nick Brady by just 3 points which means this last race will determine the season points champion! In our other classes, Chad Lonneman leads the USRA Hobby Stocks, Rich Gregoire leads the USRA Stock Cars, Cullen De Ruyter leads the USRA B-Modifieds & Alex Schriever leads the HRA Sprint Cars.

Mellenberndt is off to a great start with the Heartland Racing Association traditional non-winged sprint cars putting the Sioux City Truck and Trailer Keizer Wheels #97 to victory lane for the second time of the year this past Friday at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa. It was all Mellenberndt at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa this past Friday in the Heartland Racing Association traditional non-winged sprint series.
